4 weeks and 5 whole days

I leave on my mission

I am currently in the Anxious/Nervous/Excited phase. One day I am nervous w/a tid bit of anxiety and the next day I could leave right then....It's crazy!
When I stop worrying about trying to find a stinkin BROWN skirt or finding a winter coat in the middle of SUMMER, etc, etc, etc...I am reminded why I am going and a sweet feeling of peace comes over me. I'm sure He's up there just shaking his head at me wondering why I even worry! But it's in my humanly nature to worry & I'm a girl!! LOL

Side Not: If you really think about it, how awesome is our church?! There are 51, 000 full-time missionaries serving w/out NO pay from anywhere to 18-24 months! Who would do that if it wasn't true??? I mean, Really?!
It is what I LOVE , it is my LIFE, it is who I AM.
SIGN ME UP!!!
*Remember, the Lord knows us the best! We never know what will be through that next door, but we do know that if we take that first step of faith he will never lead us astray! I pray continually that I will be prepared for the people in Tacoma and that I will be ready to work my guts out!!! :D

"Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks." (Jeremiah 16:16)
(This is a fitting scripture for me ey?! haha)

Here are my fishes and soon they turn into people, just not on a rope :)

So while trying to find missionary standard dresses and friend of a friend introduced me to a site where you can CUSTOM order your dresses :D This is perfect for us LDS women who need them knee length and there not bad priced. Holler!
Check it out here.

What a weekend!

The end of May is always crazy for us. Graduation, two Birthday's and a wedding :/ I wouldn't recommend it! Luckily, everything ended up working out and it turned out to be a great weekend.

One of the best parts was Kaylen and Nadine (my roommate) both came out for Kelsey's reception and It just so happened to fall right smack on my birthday:D

And of course we had to show Nadine the historic sites of Vernal ;) I think she want's to move here now!!!

Brody's birthday is on May 26th and mine is the 28th, so we usually only have 1 party to celebrate us both. I told my mom if I have to share my birthday with him, I at least get my own cake ;) hehe!

Called to Serve

WASHINGTON TACOMA MISSION
LEAVE JULY 13TH
FAREWELL JULY 10TH

SURPRISE! I'm going on a mission :D
Kinda crazy ey?! Trust me I didn't think I would ever go either, lol! But when It came down to it I knew without a shadow of doubt that the Lord wanted me to serve. What greater call could you have in life than to go spread the gospel to those who are searching for the truth and to be a representative of our Savior Jesus Christ. I am so humbled and blessed to be able to go serve in the beautiful state of Washington. Did I think I would go there....NO WAY! It wasn't even a thought in my mind. Am I EXCITED? YOU KNOW IT!!! I went into this telling myself I will go wherever the Lord sends me, NO, if's, but's or why's. To me the most amazing thing is how comforting it has been to know the thought and the guidance of the spirit that has went into the decision of where I was needed the most. If that's no the coolest thing, I don't know what is! :DWashington here I come!

Oh get this....
While I was in Pittsburgh my call came...what? I know!
I had to wait 5 LONG days to open my call.
We had such a good time in Pittsburgh though. It's a little different
from any other city Iv'e been to, but it lead up to some great adventures.
Later post to come...

Okay what friend would I be if I didn't say THANKS....
Miss Kaylen Walton as you see, is always there for me. Yup...ALWAYS! Even when I am my cRaZy, impatient, high maintenance self she just still loves me. Why? I dunno no!
She is an angel in my life and I wouldn't be who I am today without her. I am SO very lucky to have such an AMAZING friend as her. She is rock and light in my life and love her SOSOSOSO much! Love you Klin

The Motab+ George Strait

CONFERENCE, THE PROPHET, GEORGE,& REBA...WHAT?!
ONE WORD....AMAZING
Let's just say, all of the driving and loss of sleep
this weekend was all worth it!

This is Kaylen with our Conference sign. Note- the Spanish on the bottom haha! We thought we were pretty dang funny ;)

******
Conference was amazing as ALWAYS.
A few "LAKYN MOMENTS" I LOVED-
1.PREACH THE GOSPEL @ ALL TIMES AND IF NECESSARY USE WORDS.
2. OUR FAITH NOW BECOMES OUR FAITH IN OUR POSTERITY LATER.
3. WE ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHRUCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS
4. DESIRES DICTATE OUR PRIORITIES
PRIORITIES DETERMINE OUR CHOICES
CHOICES DETERMINE OUR ACTIONS
5. ALL OF US CAN REACH OUR EXPECTATIONS!
******

GEORGE & REBA
Remember this post, well the day came and they both ROCKED it.
Reba surprised us w/ the appearance of all to funny BARBRA JEAN off of her TV show REBA.
Kaylen absolutely loves her, so she was ecstatic!!!
Let's not forget my HIGHLIGHT of the night.George sang one of my FAVORITE songs (I cross my HEART)that he usually doesn't sing and of course I fell in love with him all over again :D
******
I had some spiritual uplifting, then ended the night right by some good ol' fashion country music :D I say, that's a good day!

Just a LITTLE update...

UDA (dental) Conference 2011...
Dr. Thompson took us to eat the night before at Benihana :) in SLC. I was fortunate enough to get braces the day before (debatable), so I was able to actually enjoy my food there for once instead of scarfing it down. They have served there purpose!! Thanks Dr.

Last weekend was Athena and Kyle's wedding.
She was such a Georgous Bride, I am so happy for them both! I can't even describe what an amazing women and example Athena is. I was so happy for her, I wish them both the best of luck in the big state of TEXAS!
I also got to see all of these beautiful girls :)

My Hallie bug came down to Provo, so we went to Macy's to get an oh so good chocolate dipped ice cream cone and the best part it they are only .69 cents, hola!

Love me-
